After the big weekend, we had to take Monday off from any travelling and decided to postpone our planned trip to Malahide until Tuesday. We were glad we did, we once again lucked out with amazing weather. Lately, we seem to be having very good weather luck...let's hope saying this doesn't jinx our upcoming weekend in Scotland.
Now, back to Malahide. We opted not to pay the 7.50 each to actually tour the castle and decided seeing it was enough and took off for the town/beach before we caught the train back. Malahide had another beach that showed, once again, if Ireland had warm weather, there would be loads of beach resorts in this country.
I may have to make it back to Malahide before we leave to try out what appears to be an Irish past-time...pitch & putt. It's like adding the chip shot to miniature golf...and they have a course on the castle grounds...I think I will.
